Did the sizing change from 2025 to 2026?

my partner has very wide feet and tried these on in store back in october 2025 and they were SUPER comfortable. instant purchase. flash forward 4 months, we decided to go ahead and get another pair. i looked up my order history and ordered the exact same pair in the same size and width. the shoes that arrived, however, were different.
the finger loop was now too small for his finger, and the opening to put his foot in was now too narrow. he couldn't even get the shoe on that had been an absolute perfect fit just a few months ago in the store. the length of the shoe was the same and they *looked* pretty much the same (except for the wear from the old ones) so either we got a dud or something has changed with these shoes.
at the store just now, the dsw clerk confirmed they were the correct shoe and he didn't seem interested in doing any further investigating, so we went ahead and returned them. i'm going to try ordering them one more time online because it really makes no sense why they would change the sizing, and this was the first pair of shoes that have ever comfortably fit my partner's extra wide feet so i don't want to give up so easily! i will update my review once i know more.

Love these shoes love them in the summer they are great with khaki shorts khaki pants easy to slip on and my husband loves them. Very comfortable as most sketches are perfect fit no complaints here.

Opening gap is way too small for a WIDE shoe

The opening for sliding your feet in is just too snug. I purchased these because they are WIDE width, yet the construction of the most important part to the "Slip-In" feature is oddly small.
Had to return as I couldn't even get them on easily with a shoe-horn.
No, I do not recommend this product.

My husband is a very picky shoe buyer. That being said-he loves these Slade Breyer Sneakers so much, he just purchased his third pair. They are very lightweight and comfortable he says and he can wear them all day.
