A step backward from the 15s

I liked the Kinvara 15s, but these take a few steps backward:
- The heel slip is the worst I've experienced in any running shoe. The back of the shoe doesnt cup the heel at all, so my heels lift right out.
- The single hard rubber strip on the forefoot is really noticeable underfoot
- The laces are slick and stretchy, making it difficult to get a snug fit.
The shoes are light and fast, but I preferred the 15s

This is my sixth or seventh pair of Kinvaras. Love how lightweight they are. The low drop works well for me and the shoes hold up for hundreds of miles. My only complaint is that they tend to feel "tired" after 300-400 miles, whereas other shoes I've owned previously tend to last 400-500+ miles. Still highly recommend.

Great old school running shoe

I like the lower stack height of the shoes. It has a nice old school feel to it which i really appreciate it today's era of dangerously high soles. Colorway looks pretty great too. My only complaint is that there is too much padding in the tongue and around the shoe. All that padding just adds weight and heat. Both are bad things in humid, hot south.

I bought 2 pair of these shoes. My husband wears them as-is and I put power step insoles in mine and we use them for Pickle Ball. We LOVE the bright color, comfort and tread.

My 3rd pair of Kinvara

I received my 3rd pair of Kinvaras. It’s hard to find a pair of lightweight road shoes that aren’t oversized in the sole. The fit has always been excellent and the shoes feel fast.
The changes in the Kinvara, over the last years has been slight and allowed the shoe to remain near perfect. Great shoe! Keep them as they are.

Love the Kinvara, not only because it’s my family’s roots, but a great show for running, especially if you’re a forefoot striker. Could be a little softer but they’re not quite broken in.
