Ryka Upside TR Hiking Shoe - Women's

I bought these on final sale (so no refunds) because I wanted lighter-weight, water-repellent hiking shoes, hoping they would fit like my Devotion X walking sneakers (8.5 W) that i love. Unfortunately, they're longer and wider than my sneakers and their weight is heavier than I wanted. The arch support also is stiffer, feels more prominent, and is located further back than my sneakers. Since I can't return them, I'll make do by wearing thicker socks and hope the arch support won't be an issue impacting my ability to comfortably hike long distances.

8.5 wide was not wide. For other shoes that is the size that works well. I returned and ordered a 9W, which is not wide enough either. I’m disappointed because I buy a lot of Ryka. Maybe it is the factory where they are made. The Up Trails I bought last year are fantastic, but I can’t find them.

Love these sneakers. I was looking for good, stable walking sneakers that I could wear all day long. Also, needed some kind of weather protection. Since receiving them I have worn them for 2 different days, all day. They are just what I needed! Great room for toes and a stable cushion to help my knee pain from a long time sports injury. Great to know I do not have to take an additional pair of shoes to change in when the walking is over. I actually ordered a second pair just so I have a back up pair!!

Superb support and comfort for elderly feet and painful heels. Not too heavy, excellent traction. Waterproof is a plus.

I've walked almost 10 miles already without a break in period. They have been comfortable right out of the box.

Great fit that I have loved from Ryka for over 20 years! I walk for exercise on my 3 acres of varying terrain and these shoes are perfect! Wore them to a festival recently on a rainy day, feet dry, walk was stable! Lightweight and breathable

This shoe is very comfortable especially with my high arches. The traction on grass is great, I do agility with my dog and I can really move around the dry or wet grass without feeling like I will slip or slide.

I needed new trail running sneakers for an upcoming 5K that offered good arch support, as I struggle with plantar fasciitis. I ran a couple miles last week in these & they were both comfortable & supportive for my arches. They look nice, too! Very happy with my purchase.
