Short, messy, trial-and-error 4 day review review
2 months ago
After extensive real-world testing of the Reebok Trailgrip Tactical 8″ boots across road, incline, and rocky terrain, and making multiple attempts to remedy fit issues (lace adjustments, sock changes, insole replacement), the product did not meet expectations for its $260 price point. Despite some positives, including reduced road noise and improved short-distance jogging comfort, the boots exhibited a narrow fit, internal insole movement, and poor downhill foot retention that caused ongoing discomfort. Compounding this was the lack of assistance from local Reebok stockists, who demonstrated no product knowledge and were unwilling to help with sizing or ordering alternatives, leaving online purchase as the only option. Given these factors, the boots offered no meaningful improvement over comparable products available at roughly half the price, and I would not recommend them based on value, support, or performance.
I did do a more extensive write up on reddit.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Great option for the features I need

I’m only deducting a star because these are not nearly as comfortable as my usual (12 years/12 pairs) RB8894.
That being said, the RB3461 is comfortable enough. I like having a waterproof, zipper, insulated boot.
The sole seems properly aggressive for my work situation.
I wish they would have used the same insole as the 8894.
There seems to be some breaking in needed. The toe box isn’t as big as I’d like. I am always aware of the composite toe.
Yes, I recommend this product.

The inside is really soft, and my toes do not get jammed inside the boot. I really like the bottom of the boot as well.

I have been a logger and wellington style guy for a while now. I like that these boots are lightweight and flexible. They happen to fit better as well.
