    I always buy New Balance trail shoes. I hike every morning with my dog. These are easily the most uncomfortable trail shoes I've ever owned. There is so much support in the heel, that on downslopes, it slides your feet forward and my toes feel crushed against the front of the shoe. I thought it might get better after breaking them in for a month. It did not. Uncomfortable and frustrating.

    The tread is horrible - constantly suddenly catching up my walking motion. Threw them out. Been buying NB for 30+ years - no more.

    Positives: good fit and light weight Negatives: not much cushioning, especially in heel. Good on unpaved surfaces but feels hard on paved portions of trails

    great hiking shoe, actually wide and comfy to wear. I always have a hard time finding shoes due to my wide feet but these were actually confiable in size ee width
