    Bad velcro

    I was hopefully that the reviews about the hook and loop malfunctioning after a month were a fluke because these were the only shoes wide enough for my kid. But nope, at about 5 weeks of wearing them one of the shoes would no longer stay closed. We bought Velcro and sewed it on ourselves on the side we thought was problematic. And after a few more weeks it was not working again. Otherwise my kid seems happy with the shoes. We don’t have any other options for an extra wide, high volume shoe as far as I know.

    Ideal for a child that loves running. I got this for my son to help with proper running posture and for good foot support. Overall I am happy with the purchase.

    They're holding up well so far and fit great. My child finds them comfortable and the velcro seems to adhere better than other lines from the same company.

    My 8yr old loves them. Says they felt really light, and comfortable. He has wide feet and has sensory issues, so it’s not easy to find shoes that are comfortable for him. New Balance is our new favorite shoe brand!

    This is his second pair, and he requested them a second time. They are easy to put out independently, loves the colors, loves the fit and they can keep with him.

    Falls apart right away

    Very very poor quality. Kids shoes don’t last as long as adult shoes, but these set a new record for quickly falling apart. The velcro stopped working within 2 weeks. The bottom started peeling off a week later. A few weeks later the inside heal started to come apart and now plastic pokes my son in his heal. We’ve been buying NB for awhile but I think it’s time to find a new brand that actually last more than a month.
