This is the third size I have purchased for my 5 year old son of these shoes. He loves them! They fit his wide feet well and hold up well with rough play. Luckily we have not had any issues with the Velcro. He finds them comfortable

My son is 7 and he wore them for few days. His feet , ankle and legs hurt that he can not even run properly. Very bad quality of shoes. First and last shoes. Will never ever buy new balance in my life. Poor quality and not comfortable at all.

I bought these shoes for my son several months ago and they didn’t hold up good. The velcro strap stopped working and made it impossible for my son to wear them because without the velcro in place his shoe keeps coming off.

My son wore these for about a month until the strap kept coming undone. He wore them to school during the week, and he couldn’t wear them anymore because they kept falling off. The rest of the shoe is in great shape, but they can’t be worn anymore.

Unfortunately my review fits with multiple other reviews concerning the velcro. It no longer functions after 6 weeks of wear. Super disappointed in the quality for the price point. Parents are already rapidly replacing footwear for growth and it super stinks to have to purchase another pair of shoes for quality issue. Buyer beware.

These are my son’s favorite sneakers however the Velcro wears out very fast and won’t fasten. Our latest pair we’ve only had for 3 months and the Velcro won’t stick anymore. Disappointing

Our son has been in these shoes for 1.5 months and the velcro will not stay. He’s almost 4 and have done velcro shoes for years and never had this issue with other shoes. Would bot recommend for the price & now have to get him new shoes already

We love these shoes and have them in two other colors, but these specific ones have terrible velcro. After a couple months of wear they completely stopped fastening. We have zero issues with other colors of this shoe, just these ones were constructed poorly.

The velcro gives out after a few months. They sent us a replacement pair and again a few months later the velcro no longer functions. It's unfortunate bc this sneakers fits a wide kids foot very well

We purchased 3 of these shoes at once for our kids and all 3 of the shoes ended up having velcro issues within a few weeks of each other! Unfortunately, this appears to be a known defect based on the reviews that no one at DSW or New Balance is interested in fixing. This (along with a couple of other incidents) has soured me on buying shoes here and I won't be shopping here again. It's worth a little more money to buy quality shoes that don't need to be replaced every couple of months.
