Stiff High Back of Heel

I liked these until I started to walk my usual 4 miles in them and then could feel the heal of the shoe hitting too high up and rubbed my foot wrong. Now that part of my foot is really tender. I noticed the back of shoe seems like it is stiffer than the usual New Balance shoes I have purchased in the past.
