Naturalizer Maddox Pump

My first pointed toe shoes! I was concerned as I have wide feet, and bunions, but they are wide enough, and the leather is so supple they molded to my feet right away. They were comfortable for a full evening of downtown walking for dinner and a show.

I love a pointy toe, but not a high heel. These give me the pointed toe and a stable low heel. I also love that they come in wide. This pewter color seriously goes with everything!

The sizing is accurate and they are definitely more comfortable than a typical shoe like this, but I wore them once for 5 hours and the inside of the shoe is already pilling badly. The heel has a suede lining that pilled after only a few hours of wear that is now rubbing my heel and is quite uncomfortable. I am a photographer and wore these to a simple, in-home photoshoot and to a wedding venue walkthrough. Super disappointing as I was hoping to wear these to work weddings this spring and fear they’re going to keep falling apart on me. I really like the buckle hardware aesthetically, though I find the straps really difficult to get in and out of the buckle, which is making the leather lining flake apart due to it scraping the edges. I’ve found this to be unavoidable as the buckles hardware is just a bit too snug and narrow for the ankle strap to move through without scraping the sides.

Runs narrow. I had to return for a "wide" so we'll see. I normally wear a regular width in this brand.
