Merrell MOAB 3 Waterproof Hiking Boot - Men's

Bought these for a last-minute 12-mile rugged hike. They are a bit clunky but there was no break in period needed - just put them on and go for it. Comfortable straight out of the box for 6 hours of hiking.

I bought these a couple weeks ago and am very happy with the purchase. I am usually between a size 7-7.5, so I went with the 7.5 and they fit very well. Didn’t need to break in that much. I wore them at work for a week before my backpacking trip, and only got small blisters on two of my toes after hiking 14 miles in a day. My pinky toes are a little cramped in the shoe which most likely caused the small blisters, but they are cramped in most shoes for me. Very comfortable shoe overall. Only other complaint is that the tongue will often come out even after lacing the shoes tightly up all the way and will often collect debris on the inside, but isnt too big of an issue. Waterproofing is great as well.

I continue to buy new Moabs every time my old ones need to be retired. Every time it is like getting a new friend with the attributes of your old friend. You don't have to start over with small talk but can instead get right into the heart of the truly meaningful conversations. Moabs never disappoint, never need to be broken in, and never complain when you tell them about your strained relationship with your dad and how you wish he would just tell you he loves you for once.

Absolutely love these boots! I heeded recommendation to order larger since it was mentioned that they run small. No problem! Since I usually wear a size 9 I ordered a 9.5 and it fits perfectly. All day, every day comfort and support. I definitely recommend these hiking boots and will be ordering a second pair soon just so I can alternate the every day wearing.

These hiking boots are very comfortable. I did not find that they needed to be "broken in". The boots have a comfortable sneaker feel (as opposed to a rigid feel), yet they provide great support. I wear a size 8 1/2 sneaker and found that, with these boots, my toes were right at the end of the 8 1/2. So I ordered a size 9 and they are perfect.

I have flat feet. After breaking a toe last year, I had to size up to a size 10 in these boots. Glorious fit that cradles my foot, is as flexible as a good shoe, and waterproof for Western Washington weather. These are my forever boots.
