Merrell MOAB 3 Hiking Boot - Men's

I have a very wide foot. The Moab 3 Mid wide is the only shoe I can wear. Thank you for continuing to manufacture this shoe!

I don't understand how these can be called hiking boots. I live on the side of a hill and even though they fit fine on level ground, as soon as I start walking on my property my feet start swimming around inside them no matter how tightly tied. Also, top shoestring eyelets (?) tore right through in less than 7 months. Won't be coming back.

A wider toe box is essential because your feet will swell on long hikes. I fine these hiking boots perfect for me. I did replace the insoles to improve comfort and arch support.

I took up pickleball in Feb 2025 (over a year now) . Played a while in some high dollar high top basketball shoes till I fell down and broke my big toe. Was out for a while, couldn't stand it so I went to the facility wearing my size 12-1/2 extra wide Moabs, checked out a basket of balls and whacked them around for a while. Felt pretty good so I signed up to play a game, got through it in good shape, and have worn my black Moabs out there ever since. Average 4X - 5X times a week for about 10-11 months now, no more falling down, look a little funky I guess but what do I care? I'm 75 years old, guess I can do pretty much whatever I please.

Great shoes. Fit well out of the box, and very comfortable. Very pleased with these shoes.

Since I rarely get into creeks or very wet conditions, and my feet get sweaty, I decided to buy the non-waterproof Moabs. I just took them on vacation, and I regularly walked about 6 miles a day and hiked up a few mountains in the Canary Islands. This is the best boot I have ever worn -- great support, plenty of toe room, and very light. No wonder they're so popular.

The wide width gives my feet comfort they can work with, right out of the box. I rely on them to give me good traction, up and down the wooded trails I walk, and they don't let me down. I put over 1500 miles on my previous pair of boots, so I'll be putting this pair of Merrells to the test.

I’ve always been skeptical about ordering shoes online but I must admit these shoes fit better than any shoes I’ve ever had. I will be ordering more.
