Rough On Top soft On Sole

I got these shoes in a size 10 and I usually wear a 9 1/2. They seem kind of big so I took them back and ordered the 9 1/2 which fit great with no stocks. However, when I had to walk a couple blocks in them, OMG my toes are screaming. I took them off and ordered those half socks straight from the car. I tried them on the next day when they arrived and they feel great and so I love the shoe. I already got compliments on it. I am going to order the size 10 again because now it is a little snug with the 9 1/2, my usual size, when I add the half sock.

Rough Interior

The shoe is pretty but as soon as I slipped them on I felt the rough inside upper toe area. The shoe has a strange rough material in the shoe box. I will be returning them.
