Keds Park Platform Slip-On Sneaker - Women's

The shoe is cute and I wanted it to work out but it is too narrow. Wides are not an option because then they are too wide and just flop around your foot. What this really needs is a roomier toe box. In general this what most companies need to do more of for their shoes, particularly for women.

Keds is a good company, they make nice shoes at an affordable price. However, these slip-on shoes have an issue. I like the concept of a thicker platform, to add more comfort, and arch support, but these shoes didn't raise the top portion of the shoe proportionally to the platform, so the inside of the shoe is tight in the toe box, and across the arch. But the oddest thing is, they were designed very wide and loose at the heel cup. My heel kept slipping out of the shoe. To make it worse, the interior material is a slippery, silky-like material that your heel will slide right out of. Tight in the front, and loose in the back. Not a good combination. Also the overall shoe is stiff across the top, not comfortable at all. These did not work for me, and as such, they will be returned to the store. I attached two photos, one photo shows the slippery material on the inside of the heel portion and the other photo show this shoe next to another Keds shoe that I wear regularly so you can see how much wider the heel is (from left to right side) compared to my other Keds shoe that fits perfectly. Both shoes are a size 6.
