Quality Control Issue?

These appeared nice online, like most things, and they were packaged well and shipped NIB, which is very unusual for DSW! However, the pair I received looked like it was passed over in the QC department because the uppers are not perfectly glued to the soles on both left and right shoe. Not only does it make them look cheap, I am worried they may detach after wearing because they are very stiff and clunky. The shoe itself seems a bit narrow and smaller than I would have liked. Also worth noting, is that the insoles are NOT removable so if you’re like me and always insert better quality ones in your shoes, you’re going to have to tear out the permanently glued-in ones, or buy an even bigger size to fit some on top of the existing ones. I’ll be returning but may consider trying a larger size if they appear better made.
