Cheap plastic coating finish
I bought these shoes a month and I have to say I'm disappointed. I've purchased Johnston & Murphy shoes previously which I was very pleased with. But this pair felt somewhat cheap in its construction. They are not leather, in that the finish feels like a black plastic coating over the shoe evidenced by a couple of marks on the shoe. When I tried rubbing the marks off the the show the black plastic coating peeled off leaving behind what appears to be cuts in the shoe. Not good.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Recent model very uncomfortable
I have an earlier pair in a different color which is the reason I purchased a new pair last year. The difference in comfort is like night and day. The first pair are very comfortable and still look good. The new pair is one of the most uncomfortable I have ever worn from any brand. I ended up tearing out the insole and replacing with more cushion but that did not make a difference. The shoe is painful all around.

not as comfortable as their others

not enough padding in the sole. Great quality but just not that comfortable.

Comfortable, versatile
Very comfortable shoe, wish it was a bit wider but that's just my foot. In the future I'll get the 3E. I modified them with a Dr. Scholls cushioned arch support and now they feel great. I trimmed the front off the arch support to leave more room in the toe box.
I wanted a versatile shoe, one that could be worn as casual or be OK for a fancy restaurant, and be comfortable walking around Las Vegas all day. I like to travel light, this way I can just take the one pair of shoes.

Favorite shoe of all time

I'm on my third pair of slip ons and currently my second pair of lace ups in the past 12 years. These shoes are so comfortable, good looking and versatile. I'll be devastated if they ever go away.

Comfort and style

Comfort and style. Enjoy these shoes. Had to return due to show running large. Hoping half a size down is enough. Definitely recommend though.

Made me a Johnston & Murphy fan for life.
The Shuler Bicycle were my first pair of Johnston & Murphy shoes - probably more than 15 years ago now. I've had two pair in brown and two in black, and while i've had multiple pairs of johnston & Murphy in multiple style since, these are still my favorite. Comfortable from the first moment you put them on and comfortable all day. They hold up very well and really are as comfortable as a favorite pair of athletic shoes. Worth every penny - I love these shoes. Since then, 90 percent of my dress and dress casual shoes are Johnston & Murphy.

Bring back the TAN color
My husband loves these shoes. He also has had several pairs over the years. But, the tan color is, by far, the most versatile color for him. It goes well with khaki pants or jeans. We live in Florida so the lighter color suits him best. The dark brown will work for fall and winter, but we have so little of it and the dark brown just seems a little heavy looking in 90 degree weather. Still, a very comfortable shoe.
