    I have purchased Johnston and Murphy shoes for a very long time. The shoe does not measure up to the general quality of their product. I wore the shoe around the house to see if the fit was appropriate, and comfortable. After approximately 10 minutes, there were already creases across the top of the shoe. It was not the look I wanted for a tuxedo. I was disappointed in the quality of material and returned the shoe.

    No, I do not recommend this product.

    I work as a mobile DJ for weddings and wear a tux 30+ times per year. I always wear J&M Shoes, but never black patent leather one. I finally broke down and bought a pair. I took them out of the box, and went to my gig; standing for over 8 hours. They felt great on the first wear! Still a J&M fan!!!

    I got the shoes for my wedding coming up at the end of the month and I can't wait to put the whole outfit together including these shoes. I tried them on and think I could've gone one half size smaller but otherwise extremely happy with my purchase.

    This shoe has a beautiful high polish and fits true to size, 9. 5M. although I am not a big fan for the barrel - shape shoe laces, the only other detraction is the man made footbed. I give this 4 stars,
