Brand new, out of the box and the material that is covering the straps is peeling off. I noticed it right away so I'm disappointed that this pair was cleared for sale. Also, there was dirt on the side of one shoe and a mark on the other shoe. This pair will be returned and the search will continue for the same look but with another brand.
I feel the shoes are true to size. The insoles are not padded or arched but just trying them on, they are relatively comfortable.
Bottom line, the peeling of the material is not a result of wear and tear. The material chosen to cover the cords has not adhered to the cord underneath, which expands and contracts with movement. Where the cord loops through the shoe base is a particular spot of excessive peeling.

Unfortunate Refund
Jessica is my giirrlll! I love, love, love her style! I really wanted to keep the Tan color. So I was all up in the air, very happy to try them out at home. Unfortunately, the rubber straps were a little uncomfortable...kinda tight. The rubber had NO give...no options for adjustment at all. That was a sad return/refund for me.

I love these
I needed a pair of casual but cute shoes for a baby shower and these are IT! I was carefully reading feedback and took a chance since I usually love Jessica Simpson line. I do have a wide foot and usually fluctuate between 7 and 7.5 but sometimes I go 8 if i need to. This case i did have to order a size up- size 8 and they fit just right. Not narrow at the toes and not tight at the straps. Maybe a personal preference since everyone has different feedback.

Upscale Style
Not an ordinary looking flat shoe but a sophisticated style that can be used to dress up an outfit without the discomfort of a heel. They are perfect for jumpsuits that are ankle length so that the shoe is shown off. Light weight and perfect for travel. I purchased the black.
