Flexus by Spring Step Burrell Waterproof Snow Boot

My other snow boots were so bulky. These are good in snow, but not so bulky when shopping in the mall

I bought these in navy & I love them, just so comfortable.

I love the fit and style of these. A little large/wide, but okay with thick socks. Based on previous reviews, I’ve sprayed the surfaces with waterproofing solution. My biggest complaint is that the side zipper is USELESS. I get boots like this to wear when I take my dog out, and the easy zip is critical when my old dog with weak bladder muscles is in a hurry. The zip is in an awkward place, but I can deal with that. The problem is it does not run smoothly in the zipper track. Every time, I end up abandoning the effort and just loosen and tie up the laces, which extends doggie’s wait time (and my anxiety).

Nice black boot that is functional but not ugly. I like that it has laces, but you don’t have to keep tying them up. Width is a little wider than I’d like, but not horrible, especially with winter socks. Sizing is way off though. I’m almost always a 10 in US sizing, maybe a 9.5 occasionally, with regular width. The 41s were more like a 9 and the 42s are more like a 10-10.5. The 41s fit my foot more snuggly but would definitely had cramped my toes. The 42s seem good with socks and are not too heavy or clunky. Just wish they had a size in between, as I feel the 41s would have been perfect had they run a little truer to the size conversion. Foot beds are comfy and warm. We will see how they hold up to real snow. I took a few mile walk in them to test them out and they seem pretty supportive. I walk a lot and have some mild lower back/sciatic pain; these didn’t seem to aggravate that. If you’re looking for a bigger snow boot, these are great. If you want like a more sleek, converse-type lace up boot, these are not that.

The Navy color isn’t navy, in the sunlight it’s purple. I wanted to be stylish and expensive looking and feel ridiculous in purple boots. Also, I wear between a 9-9.5 and agonized over what size to get because in European sizes I almost always have to size up. I ordered the 40, which is a true size for me, and they’re kinda big. Not return-kinda big, but surprising. The boots feel like hard plastic on my feet, no softness, and the zipper on both boots is stiff and facing on the outside of the boot, so I need to be a gymnast to zip it up (I’m not a gymnast so I just kept the zipper up and shoved my foot in the boot). Returning mainly so I’m not wearing enormous purple boots.

Finally! Boots that are comfortable and cute! I had spinal fusion surgery years ago, so I NEED shoes that have actual good support under my feet - these boots fit that bill! And by that, I mean the rubber soles are stiff, but not to the point where the soles would fatigue your muscles. There's enough room to wiggle my toes. The size is true-to-size (I'm a 9.5-10). The top part of the boots, near the fuzzy part, are flexible. The zipper is smooth opening and closing, and a very nice touch to both style and function! Also, the zipper pull doesn't dangle loudly or obnoxiously hit your boot, so there's no annoyance that comes from that. The faux fur & suede are both soft and high quality. I don't have anything bad to say about these boots, as of yet! I will update later on if needed, but I will definitely be purchasing more shoes from Spring Step in the future!
