Chaco Rapid Pro Sandal

This is my 3rd pair of Chacos and my favorite so far (have owned classic and soft footbed pairs). Very sturdy construction and the Vibram soles are high-quality. I use them mostly for hiking and they work great. Tested them crossing a river on submerged rocks and didn't slip!

My Z1 Rapid Pros are reminiscent of my original Z1s back in the 90s. These have the great footbed, and quality strapping, i dig the new grips. Here is to hoping that the horror stories I’ve read in other reviews have been taken care of, and these give me years of service like my other pairs. Thank you, Chaco!

I’ve been running Chaco sandals since the late 90’s as a WW kayaker and rafter. I loved the vibran soles and had a few pairs that didn’t have that, but glad to be back on tue Vibrams. My Z1’s are super comfy as everyday wear. I would hike the Grand Canyon in them in a heartbeat.

Same great footbed. Beefier tread. Strap after adjustment is shorter and doesn’t flap around- which is great!

This is my 7th pair of Chaco sandals. Still have all of them. Also have clogs and puff. Rapid pro sole seems more rugged but comfortable as is always the case. Not made in USA and I miss the lizard or gecko on the ankle. All my others are Colorado soles. I just sent a pair with chacogrio soles to be replaced with vibram. Colorado soles. They just felt lighter and more comfortable to me. No regrets with the Rapid Pro, but put the lizard back on for the next batch

I have been buying chacoa for 15 years. The last 3 pairs I have bought are Junk. They keep breaking straps after a few months of use. Soles rot out immediately. Quality of this company is dying. Sad. They used to be amazing.

Light and comfortable. No break in. But will they last years like my others? Hopefully technology made them lighter and stronger. But I fear like most things these days saving money for the owners will make them less quality. Time will tell…

I’ve had 3 pairs. The adjustable strap is way too long. Drags the ground. Never had this problem in the past. Had to have someone sew it shorter so I wouldn’t trip on it.
