Chaco Lowdown Flip Flop

I’ve tried to order three times now and it’s canceled every time. The chacos I did buy were falling part after the first use. Quality has gone down significantly since the last pair I bought in 2014.

Bought two pair because they were on sale and my old fabric lowdowns are falling apart. Perhaps discontinued for a reason... They tear my feet up on the top, either side of the strap. The fabric ones tie the toe strap into the top with a thin strip of soft fabric-the leather ones have a big leather square with sharp edges. I'll try to sand them down or trim them, but they are super painful out of the box.

Kind of a weird fit compared to the old footbed. I have always done a lot of hiking in my chaco flips. This footbed is definitely less supportive than the only ones, but maybe neither here nor there compared to the current footbed used on the standard flips. After 2 months it's already somewhat worn down. The quality of chaco flips has been a consistent downward trend, but they still fit me well.

The sole is solid and has great support for my high arches. I wear them around the house almost daily, and they are great to slip on for running errands whether I am wearing pants, leggings or a casual dress/skirt. Would definitely buy again in a different color.
