They're great shoes, but the midsole should be black.

I've been searching for a pair of Carhartt shoes to wear during warm weather. I'm currently wearing Carhartt Moc Toe Wedge Boots, but they're too heavy for nice weather. I tried the Detroit Canvas Mid Slip On Sneakers, but couldn't get my foot in them so they went back. Then I ordered these Haslett Moc Toe Canvas Chukkas. So far they're great. They look good in the black canvas. They weigh next to nothing, too. It's actually quite amazing how little they weigh. You can barely tell that you're wearing them. They are easy to get on and off. The insole is soft and comfortable. The arch support is there. The only thing that I don't like about them is the white midsole. I think they would look much better if it were black, especially since the white is going to get dirty and look gray soon anyway. If it were black it would hide the dirt.

I actually have a brown pair of these and once I tried them on I knew that I needed a second pair. These are the most comfortable work shoes that I ever worn and without a doubt an amazing birthday present.
