Brooks Defyance Max Running Shoe - Women's

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cushioning and stability of these shoes are good, but the overall fit is weird. They seem too long in length, but the arch is in the right place for me in the size I got. I know if I were to size down by 1/2 a size, the arch would be too far back and my toes would feel squished. The other issue I had with these is that the tongue rubbed my ankle on my right foot and the tongue was noticeable higher up on my foot. I don't usually experience those kind of fit issues with Brooks running shoes in my usual size so I was surprised to experience that with these. I wore them twice for days I was on my feet a lot and my feet and back felt good at the end of the day so I think if Brooks were to fix these minor issues with the overall fit and the upper parts of the shoe these could be really great.

I love how comfortable, light, and supportive these are. They are very soft so I can wear them all day, from hard lifting sessions to all day at work. The only thing I would say is that these are not meant for people with wide feet. If you have narrow feet, these are for you! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brooks defyance max is a well made shoe that requires no break in period. I can tolerate a full 10 hour standing work shift without tired achy feet. They provide good support and for is true to size with a roomy toe box. The midsole cushioning provides great shock absorption, making it comfortable for long periods on hard surfaces. After multiple weeks of daily use, the sole still shows very little wear. These shoes are a great option for people who stand or walk all day. I would recommend these shoes for active individuals that want all day comfort and support. I believe if I were to get these shoes again I would get a darker pair due to living in a dust area of Colorado I prefer darker shoes so they don’t get as dirty. Beautiful lilac color! Love the heel of the shoes and extra eyelets for a runners loop. They do run about half a size too big. I’m always an 8.5 in my Cascadia’s and Adrenaline’s and could have gone down to an 8 in these. The shoes have a lot of cushioning and were comfortable at first. They ended up rubbing the bottom of my outer ankle bones, which became quite painful. If the sides of the shoes were a bit lower or the insole was thicker, it could prevent this problem. Once I put custom insoles in, which raised my heels up, the rubbing was not nearly as bad. I wore these for all day walking around at work, long walks outside, and for strength training. I did not try running in them due to the ankle pain. It would be an incredible shoe if they fixed the sides. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.
