Anthony Veer Monroe Cap Toe Boot

Like several people have noted, this brand's boot sizing is *incredibly* inconsistent. I ordered the Anthony Veer Chukkas in 13, then I ordered the black version of these Anthony boots in the same size. The chukkas are close to 13.5, whereas the black version of the Anthony are easily a 14. I bought these in 12 to circumvent that issue, only to find that a 12 in that boot comes out to..almost exactly the same as the chukkas, at 13.5. They also don't look nearly as good in the picture. Whereas the black and gray boots look almost exactly like they do on the website, these brown ones are just...lighter. Everywhere. The wool is a lighter brown and the leather is closer to milk chocolate than dark brown. It looks a little cheap in comparison. However, the one area where Veer always exceeds is in the parts that hit the ground. The leather soles are extremely comfortable to walk around in from the start, and thick. My chukkas seem to have a Dainite sole clone and are really hard-wearing. I'm keeping these based on that factor and a Goodyear welt. Going to add toe plates and see if my cobbler can dye these darker.

Worth the price but they do run a full size large.

I ordered this pair for my Husband. It was a ship to store only to get home to find that this boot runs extremely big. My order size was a men's eleven and they ran so large that they were literally two sizes to big or larger and because they are not sold in store he has no way of trying on before buying. This makes us both disappointed because had they been true to size, we would have been happy because the look and style were great.
