I had my eyes on these for a while because I liked the style and the heel height. They looked like the perfect black bootie that could be dressed up or down so I finally pulled the trigger and ordered when they went on sale. Sadly, I was underwhelmed when they arrived. They fit true to size but I ended up returning because they were too stiff and not the quality I was expecting.

I brought this because I thought it had 8.5in calf opening cause I have skinny legs, but it seems much larger than that. The upper opening part also rubs against the skin causing chafing and bleeding so you will need to wear thick, long socks. The sole part was comfortable. It does look clunky and big so if that is your style, then these are for you!

I'm usually a 9 in boots, but I ordered an 8.5 after reading from other reviews that these run large. That was the right choice. These are well made boots, I love the thick treads, and the heel height is comfortable.
If you have wide feet, these are narrow in the toe box, but I think they'll stretch well. The only other downside was that the front cut into my ankles when walking, but after a few days of wear, the leather has softened and they're much more comfortable.
It sounds cliche, but these are great boots if you don't want to sacrifice function for fashion.

Runs big

They are very comfortable and feel well made, but...they run very large. They looked like clown shoes when I pulled them out of the box. I wear a 9.5 and feel I probably needed to order an 8. Considering exchanging them, but as someone with big feet in worried even in a smaller size my feet will look gigantic in these.

Heel height is just right

I tried at least six pairs of booties before deciding on this one. I rated it 4 and not 5 because although it is comfortable when you walk on flat surfaces, once you go up or down stairs, the top of the bootie hits the shin and it hurts. So, if you live in a walk up apartment, I don't recommend this.

The silouhette of this boot is so sophisticated and it looks and feels super high quality. My only issue is with sizing- I'm a true 8 and tried exchanging it for a 7.5... However that too is still too large and I'm debating exchanging it again for a size 7. They're so beautiful that I might go through with it!
