I'm not sure

I debated about buying these boots so hard before actually pulled the trigger. Due to lack of reviews I was very weary. I did find two reviews, and I would have to agree with what both said. One said that these boots get kind of slouchy around the ankle, and I would have to agree that they do. Second, I did not order the wide calf option, and I have so much space behind my leg in the calf area. I haven't made up my mind If I'm keeping them to be honest. It might just be too much space back there for me. I do have skinnier calves, but I've never had a pair of boots give me THAT much space. Compared to my other knee boots, these do come up a little higher on the leg. I'm 5'9 and they sit right at my kneecap. Although I have not worn them outside of the house, they do seem comfortable. But again, I only wore them to try them on. I don't like that the heel is not the same material as the rest of the boot. It's like a hard plastic that's colored burgundy. I'm concerned about scratching and having miscolored parts to it. If they scratch I have no idea how I'll fix it. Not sure if the color runs all the way through or if it's just the surface. I hope I never find out.
