Aerosoles Iris Wedge Pump

I don't understand the good reviews. This shoe is the single most uncomfortable thing I have ever had the misfortune to wear. I love a wedge and I thought it would be stylish and comfortable. I was soon proven wrong, I walked to the station - 5 minutes total. Sat down so there was no discomfort from standing during the ride. Walked from final stop to office - 4 minutes. During this 4 minute walk I was seeing stars from the way it was cutting into my heel. luckily at the office I had some gel cushion pads I had for friction in my hiking shoes, which I never used, even for an 8 hour hiking day! I applied some of those to the heels and thought I could wear the shoe at work as I had just cleaned out my backup shoes from under my desk :( The shoes cut through the padding. I added more on top, that didn't work. I SIT all day at work, no standing, but I couldn't even walk on the carpet down the hall without limping. I had to abandon them under the desk and only put them on if I needed to go to restroom. Halfway through the day, my feet were so wrecked that I had to raid the medicine cabinet for some sticky gauze-like tape around my feet to protect my heels. I thought for sure this would help - No.Tthe shoe continued to saw its way through to my skin which was now red, raw and swollen. I purchased these in the wide deliberately as I don't believe in breaking in shoes. I had plenty of give in the shoe. The leather feels soft everywhere except at the heel where it was essentially like hard sharp plastic your skin. I also got the tan color which looked a bit cheap especially in the covering of the heel which seemed sloppy with spacing but I wore long pants so didn't mind. I had to take a taxi home because I couldn't walk even with the bandage and walked barefoot from the car to the house. Luckily, customer service was incredibly helpful with a resolution. They were five stars but this shoe should be charged with assault. I won't even donate them.
