I needed a pair of shoes that weren't slippery for walking on the hill, and these are perfect—I didn't get tired at all while wearing them. I definitely have to buy a pair for my son, too, since he loves jumping around everywhere. These ones don't slip.

High reach on Achilles; blisters even w/tall socks

Although I haven’t worn these hiking yet, I did break them in at my job in a warehouse. The insoles are average; I will definitely buy a Dr. Scholl’s insole. They reach higher-than-average on the Achilles tendon, and, despite my tall socks, I’ve blistered every time that I have worn them. So..not a good indication that these would be the shoes I would choose to hike and climb several miles in. The quality is good, as with every Adidas shoe I’ve bought for the last 30 years. I can’t complain nor even bother to return a shoe that is still above average for the highly-discounted under 40 dollar mark.
