Super cute. Hard to get off!

I bought these boots as a Christmas present for myself. They are super cute. And the comfort is good. But good Lord, how do you take them off??? I was home alone and it took me 30 minutes to take off. I was sooooo frustrated. Almost in tears. Any suggestions so I can wear them again.
