Might need to size up for snug, well made Oxford
I originally purchased the Mateo oxford from Hush Puppies in size 8.5 wide, which is my husband's normal shoe size but he said these shoes were very snug fitting and his toes felt crammed in the the toe box so we tried going up a half size as well one whole size. The most comfortable fit was a 9.5 wide, which is one size up for him. Once we found the right fit, my husband thought the shoes were well made with a cushioned Bounce footbed, rubber sole and round toe. The shoe laces tied securely without coming off on their own. He also liked that the shoes were a coated leather upper, a protective layer on top of the leather for durability and helps with scratch and water resistance. He chose the dark brown color which is a very rich looking chocolate shade that pairs well with most jeans and khakis. I would recommend trying out these shoes in person instead of ordering online because you might need to size up. One last thing about ordering online, the shoes were shipped with only a partial shoe box with no lid and the box was severely dented and crushed upon arrival in a plastic bag mailer. DSW should properly pack the shoes in a whole shoe box at the very least so the shoes arrive in better condition or pack in a box instead of a plastic bag mailer.

Comfortable Shoes at a Reasonable Price
I Bought this for my husband a few weeks ago. He saifd the ahoes appear to be well made, were comfortable, and looked nice. Even though they only come in wide in his size, he said since they were a tie shoe they seemed to fit without slipping when he walked. He also said that he prefers a leather upper (which these shoes have) and that the current DSW price was very reasonable for a leather upper men's shoe.

Good for your feet.
Comfortable cushion to walk on, good fit, nice look. I wanted to give 4.5 stars but it only lets me leave full stars. I'm worried they may scuff easily, have not yet.

No regrets!
I’ve worn these a few times and am happy with their overall performance. I took away a star because I felt like they were a bit more stiff than I expected and not quite as comfortable as I am accustomed to from Hush Puppies. They are still great and I would definitely buy them again.

Good work and casual shoe
Recently purchased this shoe. Not as comfortable as I thought, but better than a lot of Oxford shoes. I still had to add insoles. There's lots of room in the shoe. Shoe is rigid and does not flex very well. I have worn the shoe for about a week and a half. They become slightly more comfortable each time I wear them, so they may just need broken in.

Solid Shoes
I bought these for my son who is in high school. He has a very wide foot and in the beginning they hurt his heel a little. But after some time, they are much better and they look great.

Extremely comfortable show
I have very flat feet and wear prescription orthotic inserts in my shoes. They work great in the Hush Puppy Matteo (Wide), although the Hush Puppy inserts were (lightly) glued in and a tad difficult to remove. With my own inserts my feet feel better than in any other shoe that I own. I bought a brown pair and a black pair and only wish that they came in more colors!

Very comfortable !
I got these for my husband and he starting wearing them right away, saying they are extremely comfortable. He needs a wide toe box due to arthritis and these worked great.

Hit With Husband
My husband bought these about a month ago and likes them a lot. They’re comfortable all day. They provide support without causing pain. He said his feet feel better than they have in a long while.
