A NEW LASTING PARTNERSHIP HAS ENTERED THE CHAT
The DSW Foundation is establishing a long-term partnership with BRAG.
Celebrating Black History Month
Shoe lover fun fact #1: the Black community has been and continues to be instrumental in shaping sneaker culture and major footwear trends.
Shoe lover fun fact #2: only about 5% of sneaker retailers in the U.S. are Black-owned even though Black consumers are among the most influential in driving sneaker sales.
Shoe lover fun fact #3: even though the sneaker industry is worth $70 billion (yes, with a “B”), Black entrepreneurs and retailers see very little of the revenue.
The DSW Foundation and BRAG are teaming up to change that. We’re all about shoes here, but we’re also all about empowerment and inclusivity. Black History Month is about celebrating the legacy and accomplishments of all the Black change-makers that came before. But it’s also a time to pave the way for new innovators and visionaries.

The next gen of footwear professionals
Through mentorship, networking, and case studies, BRAG's Summer Internship Program gives students the opportunity to learn from and contribute to top retail companies with the intent of prepping college juniors and seniors for real-world work after graduation.
BTW: 75% of those interns will go on to receive full-time employment!
