Strange fit compared to the original keen fit

I like the several pairs of keens I’ve tried and owned with the original keen fit but this contoured fit was kindda weird. It wasn’t as wide feeling but was really tall above the toe and forefoot area. Hard to explain but I sent them back and will be sticking to the original keen fit or different brands.

Separating soles.....

Super comfortable, large toe box. very grippy, overall I love them however this is my second pair in which the sole is separating from the shoe at the toe. Neither pair had more than 80 miles on them before this happened. I'm going to Shoe Goo this pair before they get worse.

Tennis shoes

I don’t know if I would call these hiking shoes. They are more like tennis shoes with more aggressive bottom tred, but uppers are just tennis shoes. I thought they would be more wide in the toe box like all the other Keens I’ve purchased, but they’re not. I had to go up a full size for proper fitting.

Wore them for my son’s Ironman competition, had them on for 18 hours straight and 14 miles of walking. My legs and feet didn’t bother me all day.
