Beautiful shoe, still not the most comfortable
"I'm usually a size 11 with my dress shoes, and I tried working through the pain of breaking these shoes in b/c I liked the look of them so much. Eventually, I caved, and I returned them for a size 11.5. The 11.5 boots fit better; however, one really interesting thing about this shoe is that the leather is very hard. When I'm walking, or even sitting in my office chair, I feel the top of the shoe pressing into the top side of my feet (right where the toes meet the foot. I'm going to see if this goes away once I break them in, but I've now noticed them with both pairs. It would be really disappointing if I have to return these, b/c I love the look of them so much."

Cole Haan Liam Chukka Black Boot
"I ordered the black pair which is my second pair and I am very satisfied. I also have them in brown. It is a versatile and a sharp boot that I wear with business and business casual dress. I am not one that runs on complements but I have gotten plenty on these boots. Quality and price were good, especially for the brand."

Stylish, sturdy, but breaking in is painful
"Nice looking boots, stylish color that goes with many outfits from suits to jeans. The style is a bit more American/British than Italian in that they are a bit wide, without being in the Bostonian/Clarks/Church's realm. However, the upper rim of the boots destroy my Achilles. They are tight and rub against the back of my ankle constantly. I had to buy gel inserts to prevent this painful problem. WIth professional sizing or an extended period of breaking in, I am sure they will be fine, but they tend to get passed over in my outfit selection because they have this painful design flaw."
