"I bought these boots in December as a Christmas gift to myself. I was on the look out for a decent pair of brown leather boots that would be casual enough to wear with jeans. These were the closest I could find that were within the price range I was looking for. The varying textures and design of the upper leather with its broken-in look caught my attention. Upon trying them on at the store I could immediately tell that they weren't going to be comfortable. Not a big deal, as I could just add some different insoles. The soles of the boots looked really cheap and are glued on to the boot. Notice how every other boot has an image of the sole, photographed from the bottom up, but these don't? The distressed look of the leather makes these boots look really cool, though. I replaced the leather laces with some navy colored tennis shoe laces; making them exactly what I was looking for. I just hope the soles of the boots will hold up. It's not like these boots were cheap. You'd expect to have better quality soles for boots that cost close to $100. I've worn them like four times while walking around my school's campus in January and the heels are already starting to show signs of wear (photo included); which is why I've given these boots a two star rating. With such an awesome design and good quality distressed leather upper, there's absolutely no reason why these $100 boots should have such an inferior sole."
