The women's lightweight PureCadence 2 performance running shoe from Brooks was built for the mild to moderate over-pronator and provides a responsive ride. In general, runners should expect these minimal lace-ups to last approximately 250-300 miles.

*Your pronation type is determined by the natural motion your feet apply throughout your running gait. When you pronate your foot rolls from either the outer edge, inner edge or not at all. If your foot rolls to the outer edge when you run, you are an underpronator, if it rolls to the inner edge you are a overpronator and if your foot doesn't roll at all you are a neutral or stable runner.

very affordable workout shoes!!!
"I lucked out when I found these online, true to size, comfy, cute, and even though I have a big foot (5'7, wearing size 10) they dont look huge at all (I'm usually insecure about athletic/sneaker shoes due to the clown shoe appeal). Anywho, these shoes rule in teal!"

Usually a Brooks fan...NOT a fan of PureCadence 2
"I run in Brooks and love them (usually run in Ghosts with my orthotics). I wanted a lightweight running shoe more for casual use. I read lots of reviews on these; they were mixed. I have a normal width forefoot but a slightly narrow mid-foot and heel. Have never purchased a narrow shoe as they would not work with a medium forefoot...especially in a running shoe. Some reviews stated that these shoes were narrow. I thought they might work with certain parts of my foot leaning toward narrow (I often have to combat heel-slippage in running shoes with special lacing techniques or go down a size in size in sandals/slip-on styles). No way. These are so narrow in the mid-foot that they really pressed into the sides of my out foot and arch. Brooks tend to run about a half size small, and I accounted for that when I ordered. I gave these 2 stars because they look spectacular. It's really too bad that they are so narrow, because I think they would have been ok for casual use otherwise. I would not use this type of shoe for running as they are minimalist and do not provide enough support for me. Brooks needs to re-think the width on these."

"Very supportive, but hard to get on and off. The tongue is stitched to the side of the shoe on one side, so they're harder to maneuver your foot into and out of. Every time I put them on, I feel like they're a bit too small, but get used to them fairly quickly, and then don't want to take them off."

My new "go-to" shoe for running
"This was the first shoe I bought when I started regularly running (3-6 miles per day, about 3-4 times per week, on pavement) after going to a running store and having my gait analyzed. I am an overpronator, like cushioning, and also recently started mid-foot/forefood running. Although I still occasionally have injured toenails from the repetitive trauma of running, these shoes have worked really well for me and I just bought 2 more pairs! I usually wear an 8.5M but ended up getting these in 9 because I needed the width (they are a little long, though)."
