How can I track the status of my online order?
A shipping confirmation is emailed to you as soon as your order has been shipped. This shipping confirmation email will allow you to track the status of your order. You may also log in to track your order.

Can I return or exchange my purchase if I don't like it?
Returns
If for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 60 days from the original purchase date. (See return shipping options below.) Merchandise must be returned and received unworn, in the original packaging, with the original shipping invoice, within 60 days of the order date, to receive a full credit in the original form of tender. Items purchased with coupon or special promotion may result in adjusted refund amount. It may take up to 14 days to process your return and credit your original form of tender. Returns or exchanges made after 60 days will be issued a merchandise credit. A $8.50 fee for shipping your return or exchange merchandise will be deducted from your refund. The $8.50 shipping fee does not apply to same-item exchanges.

Exchanges
If you would like to exchange an item for another, fill out the exchange instructions located on the back of the shipping invoice. (See exchange shipping options below.) Exchanges are processed like a return and reissued as a new order. You will receive a credit for the item(s) you are sending back and a separate charge for the exchange order placed.

Because of the time involved in shipping and processing your exchange (up to 14 days), you may elect to place a new order right away rather than wait for your exchange to process. Availability of items can change. If you wait for the exchange order to process, the item(s) you want in exchange may no longer be available. If you prefer, you may place a new order immediately and simply return the unwanted item(s).

Can I return or exchange my online order at a DSW store?
Rather than ship your return, you can return or exchange your merchandise at a nearby DSW store. We will credit you immediately, and you will not be charged for return shipping. Please bring your receipt or invoice, original form of tender and the original box. Items purchased with coupon or special promotion may result in adjusted refund amount. Items returned or exchanged after 60 days will be issued a merchandise credit.

How do I use the return label I received in my package to return or exchange an item?
To return a package with a FedEx return label:
Use the return label enclosed in your package and take your return items to a FedEx Authorized ShipCenter or FedEx Kinko's. To find a FedEx location, visit www.fedex.com/us or call 1.800.GOFEDEX (1.800.463.3339). The FedEx label cannot be used for shipments outside of the US. The $8.50 cost for shipping your return or exchange merchandise will be deducted from your refund. The $8.50 shipping fee will not apply to same item exchanges.

How do I place an order online?
Once you have added item(s) to your Shopping Bag, you will immediately be able to view your item(s) when you click on the Shopping Bag icon and start the checkout process.

Here are the steps you'll go through in the checkout process:

Review the items listed in your Shopping Bag and determine if you want to gift wrap your order and/or apply a promotion code or reward certificate to your order before proceeding through checkout.

If you wish to use a DSW reward certificate or promotion code, click the option to "Add Reward Certificates or Promotion Codes" on the "Shopping Bag" page. If you choose this option, you will be presented with a "Redeem Promotion Codes & DSW Reward Certificates" page during your checkout. Simply add your reward certificate code(s) in the "Reward Certificate Code" field(s), then click "Apply". Also, you can add a promotion code in the "Promotion Code" field(s), then click "Apply". You will see your promotion code(s) and reward certificate(s) applied to your order total. Once you have completed these steps, click "Continue".

If you wish to gift wrap your order, click on the "Gift Wrap" option on the "Shopping Bag" page. If you choose this option, you will be presented with a "Gift Wrap" page. Select the items you want to wrap and enter the indicated information for gift messaging. Click "Check Spelling in Message" to ensure accuracy of your message.

Now you may you choose your Checkout method.

Express Checkout:
If you have the Express Checkout option enabled in your account profile, you can easily place online orders. If you are logged in and have completed your shopping, click the Express Checkout option and you will be directed to view your pre-selected billing, shipping and payment information. All you have to do is enter your credit card security code and click "Place Order". During Express Checkout, you cannot make changes to your order, shipping or payment methods, to redeem reward certificates or promotion codes, or to add gift cards - if you need to make any changes to your order, you will be directed to regular checkout by clicking "Exit Express Checkout".

Regular Checkout:
If you are a registered customer, provide your dsw.com User ID and password and click Regular Checkout. Then follow the steps below:

Guest Checkout:
If you do not wish to be a registered dsw.com customer, please follow these steps to process your order:

1. Billing/Shipping:
Enter your Billing and Shipping Address by clicking on "Enter a new address". You also have the option to select from a previously listed Billing/Shipping address by clicking "Choose different address" and then clicking on "Use this address" to choose the address where you would like your order shipped.

2. Once your Billing and Shipping Address(es) are entered, you are ready to select the shipping service from the "Shipping Method" dropdown menu.

3. Now click "Continue" to proceed through your checkout process. Enter and review your Shipping Address and Billing Address information, then click "Continue".

4. Order Review and Payment:
Verify that all the order information is accurate and enter all of your payment information. You may use a credit card or gift card. Click "Place Order" to finalize your order.

5. Order Confirmation:
Your order has been successfully submitted. You will receive your Order Confirmation Email within a few hours.


How do I determine shipping charges for my order?
dsw.com offers the following shipping methods:
Standard Delivery: 4-7 Business Days   $7.95 per order
Second Business Day Delivery: (order by 4:00 pm EST)   $14.95 per order
Next Business Day Delivery: (order by 4:00 pm EST)   $24.95 per order

Please Note:
  • Orders placed after 4:00 pm EST will be processed the next business day for Second and Next Business Day Delivery.
  • All shipping methods are not available for every shipping destination. Shipments to Puerto Rico, p.o. boxes and APO/FPO addresses will be Standard Delivery only.
  • Standard delivery may be slightly longer for remote destinations.

Some other online shoe vendors don't charge for shipping; why do you charge?
dsw.com is confident that our lower prices will more than make up for the shipping costs that you incur.

Will you charge sales tax on my order?
dsw.com charges all applicable taxes associated with an item's shipment destination, as required by law.

I can't find the item I'm looking for. How do I search for it?
Please enter a keyword, phrase or item number into our Search field, and click "Go". Then you can refine and organize your search results by selecting from the following categories: fit, size, color, brand, price, material, and heel height.

Will dsw.com ship to an international address?
dsw.com currently only ships to the continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, p.o. boxes, rural routes, APO, FPO and Puerto Rico.

Can you gift wrap my order?
We would be happy to add the finishing touches to that special someone's gift with our signature gift wrap. The costs associated with gift wrapping are $5.95 per item.

What methods of payment do you accept?
We will gladly accept the following forms of payment:

If we are unable to process your credit card, please verify that you entered the correct card number and expiration date. Also, the billing name and address you entered during your order must match your credit card statement exactly. Please contact your credit card company if the problem persists.

Why is my item on backorder?
An item is placed on backorder when it is temporarily out of stock. Provided the item can be shipped within 30 days of the original shipping date and you do not cancel, the backordered item will be processed and shipped once restocked. Your credit card will not be charged until the backordered item is shipped. We will email you a shipping confirmation then.

Why isn't my browser working with your site?
dsw.com is best viewed with Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher, AOL version 5.0 or higher, and Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0. You can upgrade your browser at AOL, at Mozilla, or at Microsoft for free.

If problems persist, please call Customer Service to place your order by phone at 1.866.DSW.SHOES (1.866.379.7463).

Does my computer need to accept cookies to shop on dsw.com?
You may refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. However, if you refuse cookies, we will not be able to track your order, nor will we be able to recognize you as a registered dsw.com user to allow you access to your account information.

dsw.com uses a browser feature known as a cookie, which is typically stored on your computer. Cookies are used by dsw.com to help track your preferences as you go through the pages within our website. We may also use cookies to tell us whether dsw.com has been visited previously by you or someone using your computer, and to assist in the administration of your use of features and programs on our site. How do I use a promotion code?
Please click on the Promotion Code box on the Shopping Bag page. This will allow you to enter any applicable promotion codes before checking out.

On the Order Review and Payment page, please scroll down to the Redeem Gift Card section of the page, then enter your gift card number in the gift card field, and the 4-digit PIN that is located on the back of your gift card in the PIN field.

I received a DSW eGift Card. What is it and how do I use it?
You can redeem your DSW eGift Card online just as you would a gift card, by following the gift card instructions above.

What is an eGift Card and how do I send one?
Our eGift Card is a convenient way of giving that special someone a chance to unleash his or her passion for shoes. You choose the amount and message. Your special someone will receive your personalized email with the gift card number and PIN within 24 hours - redeemable for whatever they desire at dsw.com.

Ensuring that you feel that your credit card information is secured is important to dsw.com.

CVV (credit card security code)
In an effort to make your shopping experience as secure as possible, we require that you enter your credit card's 3- to 4-digit security code (CVV). Since the code can only be found on the card itself, providing it helps to prevent credit card fraud.
